Geek Parties
Soon after I arrived in Santa Cruz I attended my first geek parties at
'Tron and The Institute.
The Institute Parties
became particularly famous.
One of the major reasons my apartment-mate Dierdre and I wanted to move into a
large house like The Armory was so that we
could put on that sort of party.
Our apartment was too small and completely lacked visitor parking.
We hosted our first party a month after we moved into the Armory, on my
birthday, February 24.
The Armory February Birthday Party has since become an annual event.
